| 3/19/2022 | Meet in the parking lot for the Point Reyes Nature Center on Bear Valley Road at 10:00 am. Bring a lunch and water. If potluck appeals to you, bring a dish to share after we complete our walk. We will explore California lichens during this period without abundant rainfall. Plan for a Photo Foray activity using iNaturalist smart phone application to capture of finds. Maybe we'll get lucky and find our California State Lichen, Ramalina menziesii, the Lace Lichen, a pale yellowish-green to grayish-green foliose lichen. There will be a short pre-walk discussion covering lichen identification.
