3/15/2022 | On the third Tuesday of each month from September thru May, the Mycological Society of San Francisco hosts a General Meeting. It has usually taken place at the Randall Museum. We look forward to future meetings where we can share our fungal finds, enjoy mushroom snacks and engage with our guest speakers in-person. Until then, we are fortunate that technology allows us to maintain safe social distance yet still carry on our mission to educate about the kingdom of Fungi. General meetings are open to the public. more info... |

3/19/2022 | Meet in the parking lot for the Point Reyes Nature Center on Bear Valley Road at 10:00 am. Bring a lunch and water. If potluck appeals to you, bring a dish to share after we complete our walk. We will explore California lichens during this period without abundant rainfall. Plan for a Photo Foray activity using iNaturalist smart phone application to capture of finds. Maybe we'll get lucky and find our California State Lichen, Ramalina menziesii, the Lace Lichen, a pale yellowish-green to grayish-green foliose lichen. There will be a short pre-walk discussion covering lichen identification. Reservation required. https://mms.mssf.org/members/secure/evr/mchange.php?evid=30809965 For more information contact Theresa Halula. |
